Yet another one of my secret weapons in the desert. Except this desert is Palm Desert. I love the Palm Springs area and really need to make a point to get out there more often. It’s only half the distance of the trip to Las Vegas, and so delightfully quiet and laid back comparatively speaking. I found this hotel on a whim after reading reviews and it’s been my “go to” spot ever since. So centrally located to anything and everything you would want to do in the desert, from all the fabulous shopping on El Paseo, restaurants of all kinds, the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park, exploring the ghosts of Salton Sea or an evening concert performance at McCallum Theatre. The grounds are simply lovely. So well manicured and the grass is gorgeous. Perfectly landscaped trees and rose gardens as well. The front patio area is wonderful! You can sit outside at one of the tables, breathe in the fresh air, have a drink or just enjoy the sensational pink desert skies at sunset.
The lobby is warm and inviting. Not to mention the freshly baked cookies laid out every afternoon. YUMMY!!!! Pool area is clean and well furnished. Very inviting. The young ladies at the front desk are very friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are just right. Clean. Great bed!! Nice flat screen TV. Breakfast is very sufficient and comes with the price of the room (which is usually very modest unless you are there during Coachella or Stagecoach Music Fest, then all bets are off). Nice variety of hot and cold items and they even have a PANCAKE MAKER… how cool is that??! I really enjoy this hotel and it’s become another valuable tool in my travel kit, therefore I thought I’d pass it along to you.
